Uganda is the true ‘Pearl of Africa’. Uganda is one of the most beautiful nations on the African continent, rich in cultural diversity, rich in natural beauty and animal life, but especially rich through the beauty of its people. As such, Uganda needs to be promoted as a unique and ideal tourism destination, but also as a country offering investment opportunities to support the nation’s development and sustainability.
Ugandans in the Diaspora are ideally placed to promote the distinctive attractions and beauty of their mother country Uganda. They are the cultural ambassadors par excellence, and should therefore become fully engaged in the promotion of their own country as a tourist destination.
In addition, the Diasporans themselves should be encouraged to become more seasoned visitors to their own country. Many Diasporans have yet to visit the most well-known jewels in their own land, so their potential as tourists should not be overlooked.
Lastly, Ugandans in the Diaspora are very keen to invest back home, to contribute directly to the development of Uganda. And the tourism sector has a vast array of investment opportunities that should be readily promoted to the Diasporans. Their concerns for their motherland runs deep and should be fostered and channeled into the creation of new development projects and the creation of employment opportunities in the tourism sector.
Various companies from the tourism sector will be show-casing at the 4th Convention in September on 13th Sept 2014 at Troxy Arena in London. It is an event targeting Ugandans for the greater part, and as such the beauty and varied cultures of the nation of Uganda need to be put under the most positive spotlight on the day.
It is also a unique opportunity to promote the many investment opportunities available in the tourism industry. Delegates will interact with about 2000 delegates on the day and make a profound impact on potential investors, both Ugandans and non-Ugandans.
This year, we really want Uganda to shine brightly under its many facets, and your tourism sector is absolutely key in making this happen.
We are looking forward to welcoming you on 13th September in London.
